FAQ
When do I get paid for credit card sales?
Fooda pays our restaurants weekly. The weekly payments will post on the Thursday of each week and the payments are based on the events from the calendar week two weeks prior to the date of payment.
How do I know how much to expect from each event?
Access the Restaurant Point of Sale app to view and export sales data.
Do I have to use the Fooda POS?
Yes. All Fooda restaurant partners are required to use Fooda POS to support coupons, future loyalty programs, and more.
What should I do if I don't have an iOS device?
Purchase an iOS device on your own or through Fooda. With a weekly plan starting at $80, Fooda makes it easy to get an iPad — Learn more here.
Is the POS available for testing before my first event?
Fooda engineers and a group of pilot restaurant partners have tested the new Fooda POS app for months to ensure it runs smoothly for you. It’s also designed to work very similarly to your existing Square program.
Why only iOS devices?
Fooda's engineering team can make improvements faster with a single platform. Whether it's processing your orders, or incorporating your feedback into newer versions, work is completed more quickly with one app.
What if the card reader isn't working?
Fooda provides you with a second card reader to use as a backup.
What if the wifi isn't working?
Fooda's engineering team built an offline mode just in case the wifi isn't performing. Most of the app's main functions will operate as normal in offline mode, but you will need to reconnect to the internet for sales to process and to be paid by Fooda.
