As a Fooda Restaurant Partner, your success and growth is directly linked to Fooda’s success and growth. Because of this, we’re always working on improvements to strengthen our partnership. The latest major improvement is about data.

Our previous POS provider simply wasn’t providing enough of it. In fact, when searching for a replacement, we found no out-of-the box POS solution that would fit our needs. That’s why we decided to build our own.

For the last 10 months, Fooda’s technology and engineering team has been building and testing the new Fooda POS from the ground up. The team’s ultimate goal is to help your business sell more food. Since launching Fooda POS in select markets a few weeks ago, our restaurant partners have already sold over 300,000 meals through the new system.

What Fooda POS does for you

With Fooda POS, we can connect unique customers to their purchases. This will make the Fooda platform smarter in many ways, but here are a few highlights:

  • Prep numbers: Fooda is working with data scientists to build models that will provide more accurate predictions for prep numbers. These new models will consider your previous popup performance at the location, performance across all Fooda partners at the location, and also more abstract variables like how the day’s weather might affect sales.

  • Targeted marketing: Once unique customers are linked to their purchase activity, Fooda can send personalized recommendations based on their lunch history. For example, if you sell chicken sandwiches, Fooda will tell customers who always buy chicken sandwiches that you’re headed their way.

  • Operations and communication: Fooda’s POS is more than a point of sale, it’s also a hub for you to find information that’s essential for a successful Popup,   like site directions, your monthly calendar, sales performance and reporting and more. 

  • Fooda Rewards: Our customer surveys show that a loyalty program is by far the most requested improvement to the Fooda platform. We’re building a program to motivate customers to buy from your Popup more frequently and spend more money on each visit. Fooda Rewards is still in development—more information to come.

These improvements, and more, come with the new Fooda POS—there’s no additional cost to you. This project has been in the making for many months. Our team has worked with restaurant partners and Popup customers alike to ensure a smooth rollout and excellent product—and together, we nailed it.
